Our goal is to worship God in spirit and in truth. We strive to follow the example set by the New Testament church. The elements of the worship service, which are based on scripture, are described below:
Singing
The entire congregation sings without instrumental accompaniment. The Human voice is made by God. It can make musical tones and impart praises to God simultaneously, creating harmony of heart and mind between the singers. No man made musical instrument can do this. Singing together is a time when we can all offer the Lord the same message, one in heart, mind, and voice.
Preaching The Gospel
The Word of God is presented in the form of lessons. These lessons are intended to lead others to Christ as well as to strengthen those who are already Christians. We believe that God is the divine author of the Bible, and therefore, the bible interprets and clarifies itself.
Prayer
Men of the congregation lead our prayers during Sunday Morning Worship.
Lord's Supper
We take the Lord's Supper the first day of each week. (during Sunday Morning Worship). This consists of unleavened bread, representing Christ's body, and the fruit of the vine, which represents the blood that He shed on the cross. If you believe, we urge you to be baptized for the remission of your sins, and receive God's gift to you - the Holy Spirit, and take the Lords Supper with us. If you are not a believer, please consider meeting with us anyway. We welcome you. You won't feel like we are looking down our noses at you, and you will not be expected to do anything you do not understand.
Giving As Prospered
I Corinthians 16:1-2 is the basis for our taking a collection on the first day of each week. These funds are used in the work of the Church, and to share the gospel with others. This is the only means of collecting funds described in the New Testament for supporting the work of the church.
